Maintenance:
We recommend cutting your coneflowers to the ground soon after flowers fade to ensure a second round of blooms before frost. Echinaceas will die to the ground after a hard freeze, but there generally isn't any need to remove the old foliage.
Growing Conditions:
Like all coneflowers, a soil that doesn't remain waterlogged in the key to success. Echinaceas love full sun, so we recommend 4 or more hours a day for best flowering.
Natural Impacts:
As a general rule, the double flowered coneflowers, like Echinacea 'Double Scoop Mandarin', aren't going to serve as nectar sources for bumblebees like the single forms do.
